New low cost international MAXROAM plans

Global connected software provider Cubic Telecom today announced high-speed, lower cost mobile plans for its direct-to-consumer international SIM card, Maxroam. The plans let Maxroam users travel more places internationally, while having the same, consistent experience as using their mobile phones at home without the stress of hidden costs, high roaming fees, slow network connections and other limitations seen with roaming plans.

“We’re finally starting to see large carriers reduce international roaming charges. However, consumers are still paying way too much for the level of service, while always having the fear of steep overages or ambiguous costs,” said Barry Napier co-founder and CEO of Cubic Telecom. “We’ve been listening to users and now we’re introducing low-cost Maxroam plans to bring more convenience, better pricing and high-speed data for international travellers, without the worry of what their bill will look like when they get home.”

The entry-level bundle costs €29 and includes 200 voice minutes, 200 texts and 500 MB of high-speed data for use anywhere in the world. Maxroam’s bundles are lower cost and provide more data than larger carrier plans. Travellers don’t have to rely on unsecure Wi-Fi networks and can benefit from secure browsing with Maxroam’s encrypted SIM.

Travellers can also connect to local networks hassle-free, as Maxroam leverages Cubic Telecom’s proprietary network identifier technology to route SIM connectivity through local carriers to provide access to the best available mobile network at a low cost. A local carrier connection gives Maxroam users a better experience with higher speeds on HSPA and 3G networks, which allow users to do more with their available data, unlike users with other carriers who roam or get throttled on slower 2G networks.

“We’re looking to bring cost control to the market, with a service that uses the best and fastest available network. We want consumers to have complete freedom to use their phones while travelling abroad without having to compromise quality with throttled service or cumbersome processes for initiating calls,” added Napier.

Using the industry’s largest carrier partnership footprint, Maxroam offers users mobile access in over 180 countries worldwide. To order a Maxroam SIM, learn more about the service and bundled offerings go to: www.maxroam.com
