Punitha Sinnapan, VP of Automotive Design and Innovation at Cubic Telecom, won a prestigious Automotive News Europe Rising Stars award in the ‘IT and Connected Car’ category. Automotive News Europe is a leading pan-European publication for the sector, with its Rising Stars programme recognising outstanding individuals up-and-coming in the automotive industry. Coinciding with the the IAA Mobility 2021 conference in Munich, the awards programme is now in its 11th year and spotlights those who have driven change and fostered innovation across the technology sphere. Cubic has previously won industry awards such as the IoT Breakthrough Awards and the IoT Global Awards, and it has been named as ‘Challenger‘ in the annual Gartner Magic Quadrant analysis.
Punitha has almost twenty years of experience in software and system architecture and design, and extensive expertise in such areas as ADAS, autonomous driving, high-performance computing architecture and project and customer management. At Cubic, she is currently developing a new product strategy and long-term roadmap designed to solve industry challenges and generate new revenue streams for Cubic’s customers, which include Audi, Volkswagen, CNH Industrial, Arrival, and Skoda.
