At the 2013 GSMA Asia Expo in Shanghai, China Unicom launched their integrated cloud services platform in partnership with Cubic Telecom. At the launch was the president of China Unicom Group Mr. Lu Yimin and Yan Bo General Manager of Global business.
In this partnership, China Unicom and Cubic Telecom can now support connectivity solutions on mobile broadband and Wi-Fi networks, anytime, anywhere, on a variety of devices such as tablets, notebooks & e-readers.
Cubic Telecom formalised its agreement with China Unicom in 2012.
Cubic Telecom and China Unicom are now targeting the education and healthcare markets whilst having already made significant inroads into the aviation and automotive industries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Cubic Telecom's SDN (software defined network) manages everything from email, video streaming, gaming and social media for consumers, to specialist applications for enterprise users all in real time. Capabilities extend into customised billing solutions, unique SIM card software and location based applications on Android, Windows and iOS.
